Roleplay Guidelines

The Core Principle: Roleplay is a two-way street. Your actions should create engaging stories with other players, not against them. Prioritize the health of the scene over “winning.”

The Fundamentals

IC vs. OOC

In-Character (IC): Anything your character says, does, or knows.Out-of-Character (OOC): You, the player, including Discord knowledge, stream info, or Roblox usernames. Keep these separate.

Character vs. Player

You are not your character. Actions and words directed at your character IC are not directed at you OOC. Respect that boundary both ways.

Not a complete list — these are popular scenes that tend to work well.

Medical Scene

Do: Roleplay a headache, a minor injury from a fall, or plausible issues requiring an infirmary visit.Don’t: Graphic self-harm, terminal illnesses, or contagious outbreaks without prior staff approval.

Hostage Situation

Do: Take a single hostage. Engage in good-faith negotiation with reasonable demands (a vehicle, passage to the yard).Don’t: Multiple hostages, impossible demands (e.g., “$10 million”), or refusing to negotiate.

Conflict & Disobedience

Do: Plausibly refuse a specific order based on your character’s personality. Stay defiant but realistic.Don’t: Disobey every order without reason — that’s Fail RP.

Forbidden Roleplay Mechanics

Violating these rules will result in moderation action.
Any action that is unrealistic for your character or breaks the prison-setting immersion.
  • Fear RP: You must realistically fear for your character’s life. An unarmed inmate laughing at three armed COs is FRP.
  • Unrealistic Actions: No superhuman abilities. No breaking steel doors barehanded.
Forcing actions, creating invincible characters, or roleplaying unrealistic abilities.
  • Forcing Actions: Always roleplay an attempt.
    • Incorrect: /me tackles the officer and takes their taser.
    • Correct: /me attempts to tackle the officer and grab for their taser.
  • No-Selling: An officer tases you, and you roleplay no effect. Prohibited.
Using OOC knowledge to give your IC character an unfair advantage.
  • External Info: Seeing a planned riot in Discord, then having your CO “happen” to show up at the location.
  • Username Usage: Reading a player’s Roblox nametag and using it in character.
Provoking staff or disrupting gameplay for others.
  • Baiting: Repeatedly flashing minor contraband at a CO with no RP intent.
  • Trolling: Spamming tool sounds during a serious scene.
Forcing yourself into scenes you aren’t part of.
  • Example: An officer is conducting a private interrogation. You run in and ask about lunch, ruining the atmosphere.
